The purpose is to qualify media coverage and strengthen advocacy focusing on curbing the effects of climate change on farmers and communities and strengthening evidence-based debates and interventions. By extension, the participants, selected by Uganda Science Journalists Association (USJA) and Rwanda Association of Science Journalists (RASJ), will be tasked with producing content in support of the advocacy work of NAPE, SCIFODE, and RDO, and publishing/broadcasting it in mainstream media. Finally, networks will be established for future cooperation which will be cemented via monthly networking meetings.
