The intervention is targeting the most vulnerable - IDP's, children and the communities close to the frontline - for the winter time, which can be hard and insecure, during war time. The activities will be primarily food supplies (for 20 locations), renovation/upgrading of common spaces for shared winter refugee (for 10 locations), provision of adequate water supply systems (for 5-10 locations) and special attention to the wellbeing of the children (5-8 locations). A small portion of the flexible funds mechanism has been added, to explore local decision making processes and needs assessments. The project draws on previous CISU financed interventions between LØS and GEN Ukraine, who as partners have developed a close relation.
