MAGD will work with KWAT to provide fund flow for humanitarian assistance. KWAT will procure food and hygiene items in Thailand, as well as undertaking a clothes donation activity in Chiang Mai. KWAT will work with comminity facilitators in Tachileik, a flood affected town on the Myanmar side of the border, to assess the immediate needs, and to provide distribution and data collection. KWAT will transport the goods to a church in Mae Sai, who KWAT has worked with previously to support displaced Shan and Kachin people in Thailand, and store the goods at the church. The community facilitators in Tachileik will be funded to drive to the church and collect the goods, and then will provide the goods to the flood affected vulnerable households that are majority women and girls and people with disabilities. Lastly cash assistance will be provided to the flood affected households of Kyengtung village, Tachileik, the road to which is currently cut off by flooding.
