In a context of democratic opening in Colombia, this project seeks to strengthen civil society in its exercise of demanding government compliance with human rights, especially on issues of the right to protest, freedom for political prisoners and improved conditions for people in process of reincorporation into civil life. Fundación Lazos de Dignidad (FLD) will implement a new methodology called Popular Brigades, with training and legal and psychosocial assistance in four prioritised regions in order to consolidate a National Human Rights Network. The Network will serve to improve the unified advocacy effort and qualify the pressure and support on the government. Finally, FLD will strengthen its work; outwards, in pursuit of strategic partnerships to raise funds, and inwards, to build emotional resilience with a new focus on care. All this is to ensure a team capable of providing legal and psychosocial assistance in an increasingly comprehensive and sustainable manner.
