This project has as purpose to assist small scale farmers in Karatu District with forming and organizing Farmer Field Schools in 4 villages. Further to assist and support these Farmer Field Schools with their activities in testing new approaches to agriculture and in processing of crops to food. Approaches that can improve their agricultural productivity through improved soil fertility, approaches that also is based on low external input farming. For processing of food approaches that can increase availability of food that can contribute to fight against child malnutrition. The project will support the Farmer Field School groups in their advocacy activity for obtaining their rights to support in their struggle for improved livelihood and against poverty.
