Resume

The main purpose of the intervention is to improve the life circumstances of individuals with disabilities by providing advocacy training and practice to members of the civil society organization Disability Sports Network, alongside initiating collaboration with private companies to enhance self-reliance opportunities and ensure backup-support from different stakeholders. Through advocacy, dialogue and networking, this intervention seeks to enhancing the skills necessary to advocate for the acceptance of individuals with disabilities within local communities and in professional roles in private companies. This intervention leverages previous collaborations with large privately owned companies working within Sierra Leone that have participated in past interventions. These companies have expressed their willingness to be involved in future projects, whereby they can serve as external spokespersons for people with disabilities, aiming for an equal standing in society.
