The Myanmar Baptist Convention (MBC) will implement an emergency earthquake response in Sagaing and Mandalay regions, targeting 3,750 individuals (750 households) severely affected by the 7.7 magnitude earthquake of March 2025. The intervention aims to provide lifesaving food and essential non-food items, including hygiene kits, water filters, blankets, and mosquito nets, for 14 days. Activities include rapid needs assessment, community coordination, volunteer training, procurement, and in-kind distribution. The response prioritizes vulnerable groups and integrates environmental and safeguarding measures. Local church networks and community leaders will be engaged throughout planning, implementation, and monitoring. MBC's disaster management systems ensure efficiency, accountability, and alignment with DERF priorities. Monitoring will include feedback mechanisms and post-distribution reviews to evaluate impact and improve future responses.
