Resume

The project aims to create critical understanding about the current context and social issues in Argentina with Danish high school students learning Spanish through engaging didactic material that includes text, audio, and video, and a creative workshop held in Spanish for students facilitated by an Argentinian collage artist. The material will focus on the social and environmental context in Buenos Aires and San Martín de los Andes, and three organizations: A Swingueira (women's rights), El Antigourmet (traditional bodegon dinning), and Amigos de la Naturaleza (preservation of a natural reserve). From the project’s different phases, the students will unlearn stereotypes, express understanding of social issues in Argentina, encourage intercultural reflection, and demonstrate how Language Studies can be used in global development work.
