Resume

The intervention takes place in the 3 of the communities in Nairobi most affected by the recent floods. These are Mathare, Korogocho and Kamkunji. The intervention is implemented with the two local partners PSN and MSJC, who are already working in the affected areas throug, among other projects, Dreamtown´s CISU Programme "Youth City". Through this intervention, we will ensure that 300 households – which is approximately 1500 people, are food secure and have access to basic non-food items such as clothes, mattresses, tents, and sanitary products until we exit the rainy season (in one month from now) when the flooding is expected to stop. The intervention will target the most vulnerable groups across the three target locations. These are people living within the riparian zone (up to 30 metres from the rivers), with a focus on children, women with infants or who are pregnant, people with disabilities and elders.
