Resume

The intervention’s purpose is to create an enabling environment for demanding human rights to be upheld and for holding duty bearers accountable, by increasing knowledge and engagement in human rights through documentary films. The intervention will seek to 1) Enhance knowledge and engagement on topics related to human rights among youth in Ghana and Uganda through the medium of documentary films and workshops and 2) Strengthen capacity of local CSOs to use documentary films and workshops as a tool for increasing knowledge and engagement about human rights issues among youth. The intervention’s main activity is carrying out short courses about human rights for students in Ghana and Uganda, which will include documentary screenings and workshops on thematic human rights topics linked to SDGs. The short course will serve as a platform for building capacity among the local partners in terms of using films and workshops as a tool to inform and engage in human rights.
