Resume

The project aims to train and support 50 young women from minority faith communities in the Northern and Eastern provinces of Sri Lanka who have a proven track record of community engagement and civil society activism through two training programs and small grants to enable these young women to effectively combat online gender-based violence (OGBV) and hate speech. To carry out the project, the NCEASL will partner with two CBOs in the target provinces to select the young women, carry out the training programmes and implement the follow up activities. Through the initiatives and advocacy of those trained and partner CBOs, the project aims to amplify marginalized voices, advocate for a safer online environment, and strengthen civil society. Overall, the project will contribute to the empowerment and resilience building of young women from minority faith communities, fostering networking and collaboration, and raising awareness within communities about the harmful impact of online violen
