Resume

This intervention seeks to build the capacity of the representatives of the citizens of Atwima Nwabiagya North District (ANND) in their functions, duties, and rights in Ghana’s local governance structure. It has been observed that most of the elected citizens’ representatives have limited or no knowledge of their functions, duties and responsibilities in the district assembly, the body mandated to bring governance and development to the doorstep of the citizens. It is in the light of this that this intervention has been birthed to help build the capacity of these elected representatives of the citizens. The intervention will be undertaking through capacity building workshops and stakeholders’ fora, employing dialogue, brainstorming, visualisation, group work, sharing of ideas, and participatory training on local governance and development. There will be 220 primary participants involved in the intervention.
