The programme advances the institutionalisation of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in Peru by developing, testing, and promoting a quality model rooted in multicultural and rights-based approaches. In Loreto and in the ethnically diverse municipality, Iquitos in Amazonas, authorities will endorse a pilot CSE model as proof of viability, integrating teacher training, curricula, and monitoring systems. This model will be tested in teacher training institutions and schools, generating evidence and lessons to serve as a national benchmark. Simultaneously, civil society will strengthen a national alliance, refine the model, and build strategic advocacy capacity to push for a future CSE law. The programme thus creates the conditions for sustainable, inclusive CSE policies that respond to local realities while providing a reference for nationwide adoption.
