Adolescent girls becoming mothers at a young age limits future opportunities and perpetuates the cycle of poverty. These girls face stigma and rejection in their local communities pushing them to live on the street or depend on others to survive. The marginalized young mothers are characterized by vulnerability, poverty, and low education levels, but equally, they are industrial, creative, and strong survivors. This intervention seeks to empower the young mothers through a poetry workshop and at the same time capacity build our partner to be able to undertake similar workshops in the future. In this intervention, a facilitator's guide will be developed making it easy for other actors to use the artistic methods from this intervention and an anthology will be produced with the young mothers' poems in it to be used as an advocative tool. Both public, governmental actors, like-minded NGO's and educational institutions will be targeted through a launch and an experience-sharing workshop.
