Building on these successes of the Localising SDGs project in Uganda, Ghana and Zambia, Open Space Centre and Crossing Borders have designed the “Amplify Localization of the SDGs” project, which seeks to make localization of the SDGS relatable and real to even more stakeholders including new groups of youth, religious leaders, business entities, the media, district technical and political leadership, and informal groups in the communities, particularly those who are at risk of being left behind. Unlike the previous localization engagements, this project will utilize a multi-stakeholder approach to meaningfully disseminate knowledge to encourage all persons to be engaged and play their role in the implementation of the SDGs. Firstly, the project will build youth awareness and skills to amplify ongoing efforts around SDG localization in their communities, and secondly facilitate deeper localization of the SDGs through multi-stakeholder initiatives.
