History: Tambwe Legacy Foundation (TLF) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 2020. The organization emerged with a clear vision to address and bring attention to the issues faced by vulnerable and victimized individuals in society, particularly those living in marginalized areas. While many organizations focus their efforts in larger towns and cities, TLF has distinguished itself by targeting villages and low-income areas where support is often scarce. Purpose: The primary purpose of the Tambwe Legacy Foundation is to advocate for and address social injustices and human rights violations that affect vulnerable communities. TLF is deeply committed to creating an equitable society where every individual, regardless of their background or identity, can enjoy their fundamental rights and freedoms. This includes working to prevent human rights abuses, empower marginalized groups, and foster sustainable development in underserved areas. Primary Activities: TLF focuses on a range of human rights-based activities that tackle critical issues affecting vulnerable populations. These activities include: Fighting Against Forced Marriage of Under-18 Girls, Supporting the Rights of LGBTQ+ Individuals, Addressing Discrimination and Abuse of Adolescents, Mental Health Awareness, and Climate Change Advocacy. Through these activities, Tambwe Legacy Foundation strives to create a more inclusive, just, and sustainable society, with a focus on improving the lives of vulnerable populations and ensuring their rights are respected and protected.
