Health Aid Ghana (HAG) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in Ghana. HAG was founded in 2017 with the main aim of undertaking health promotion, public health education and health campaigns among all genders, and ages to ensure healthy populations in their areas of operation. HAG has several volunteer members across the health field that are keen on helping HAG realise its dream. The members include midwifes, general nurses, nutritionists, public health officers, community health nurses, gynaecologists, and medical officers. They have undertaken several health projects with varying target groups – the youth, the aged, women, men, adolescents, etc. HAG has also undertaken or been part of many health outreach programs organised for, or by villages, towns, churches/mosques, etc. HAG has been part of efforts to educate and/ or manage several disease outbreaks in Ghana, including COVID 19, polio and cholera. HAG has experience in using dialogues, role plays, community radios, health walks and other strategies and tools in undertaking several health projects and interventions. HAG has a board made up of 5 members, management and volunteers with a common goal of helping to ensure a healthy population. HAG undertakes activities and projects that predominantly relates to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being. HAG also seeks to contribute to achieving SDG 5, SDG 12 and SDG 17.
