CGFED is a local NGO working in the field of social science since 1993. CGFED brings together a team of national and international scientists to conduct research and action CGFED is research, contributing to solving issues on gender, family and environment in development in Vietnam. Mission: CGFED acts for GENDER EQUALITY based on freedom, diversity and human rights Main Activities: - Empowerment of disadvantaged groups, like ethnic minorities (EMs), women and children, adolescents, through promotion of gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). - CGFED has applied the theoretical framework of Human Rights, the Convention og Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) to design the actions on gender issues with the perspective of diversity and freedom * Action research on Gender, Equity and Equality * Participatory and learning methodology CGFED's strategy with the main points: * Behaviour change communication: develop communication models based on specific target groups using different forms as training/education, direct communication, mass media, social media and campaigns * Do evident-based advocacy using the results of communication models. This advocacy accesses both national and local governments. 1) Apply and multiply behaviour change communication models of CGFED; 2) Do advocacy to change policies, laws related to gender, family and environment for the aim of gender equality; 3) Monitor and promote the implementation of policies and laws on those issues. CGFED's strategy set priority on ownership and participation of partners and target groups. Gender and climate change issues are integrated in all activities Priority areas: ' Gender equality in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR); * Gender sensitivity in law, education and media * Gender justice in sustainable environment
