Oddor Meanchey Akphiwat Union of Agricultural Cooperative (OMCAUAC)

Oddar Meanchey Akhpiwat Agricultural Union (OMACU) was established in March 2020 under an astonishing project entitled “Empowering Agricultural Cooperatives and Civil Society in Oddar Meanchey (ACSO)” financed by ADDA/CISU and coordinated by its partner NGOs in Oddar Meanchey province. The heads of 16 agricultural cooperatives were gathered to discuss legal procedures, organised the first general assembly to elect the Board of Directors and the Inspection Committees. We see the opportunity to make a better change through influencing the policy makers, especially the duty bearers to allocate resources for fulfilling the need of our members. Our main objectives are: - To facilitate contracts with suppliers/buyers in order to generate revenues from trading inputs supply and agricultural produce; - To provide capacity building to our members to become strong and leading grassroot organisations for better change; and - To become representative of our members at national and international levels and to serve the needs of our members to live life in good well-being and lifestyle.
