Resume

The proposed intervention is a set of mutual learning activities on the process of Disaster Risk-Sensitive Shelter Planning (DRSSP) which has been promoted by DIB and ALTERPLAN in the Philippines since 2009. It is a series of participatory exercises employing socio-economic data, mapping, decision-making matrices and other tools that help local stakeholders identify key problems and formulate objectives, strategies and interventions in the housing, basic services and livelihood sectors. This intervention seeks to revisit the sites and stakeholders of previous interventions to undertake mutual learning activities for the following purposes: Conduct a cross sectional assessment of the short and long term impact using the DRSSP process in previous CISU-funded intervention. Generating recommendations and improvements for the DRSSP process, its impacts and its sustainability Facilitating exchange of DRSSP experiences among the community and local government stakeholders
