Resume

From Vulnerability to Vitality (VTV) is a 12-month intervention of Immanuel Development Foundation (IDF) in Uganda. The aim is to strengthen sustainable livelihoods for 50 highly vulnerable households in 5 communities (villages) in 3 districts: Mpigi, Jinja and Karamoja. The project will contribute to outcomes of improved food security, household income and savings, and better nutrition and health practices, supported by a clear shift from dependency to self-reliance. Through the principles of Farming God’s Way training and mentorship, combined with training in business skills, micro-savings (VSLA), nutrition and hygiene education, households will increase yields, diversify diets, and convert surplus production into stable income. The project will establish 5 community demonstration plots and provide starter inputs to enable immediate adoption and long-term sustainability. IDF will provide oversight, learning exchange and engaging local networks.
