Title and impact: A safe and sustainable production in greenhouses. The project builds on experience and lessons learned from previous projects aimed at improving the living conditions and health of low income and vulnerable target groups. Activities & results: 1. The capacity of Civil Society Organizations to participate in achieving a safe and sustainable production has been strengthened. 2. Documentation of the health risks due to the use of pesticides, a hot and humid environment and lack of personal protection. 3. Alternative, sustainable technologies are introduced that improve an efficient and healthy production. Collaboration in planning and execution of activities will be conducted together with farmers, associations, local authorities, universities and NGOs. Project area: Tiquipaye, Bolivia. Target groups: 100 families, 8 entrepreneurial producers, 20 professionals. 1.000 families will have access to information on cleaner and more sustainable practices.
