The project builds the institutional and methodological capacity of AWCS to independently design and implement non-formal, participatory children’s rights education. Non-formal and participatory methods are largely absent in Moldova, and AWCS has expressed a strong need and motivation to develop competencies in this area. DUI, People & Planet, and AWCS will develop at least ten age-appropriate methods for teaching children about their rights. Twenty volunteers will be trained as facilitators and multipliers, delivering 40 workshops to around 1,000 children. The project leaves AWCS with tested tools, trained staff, and strengthened capacity to sustain and scale rights education beyond the project. These activities are expected to create a lasting culture of rights awareness and participation among children and in the communities reached.
