The proposed intervention is targeting primarily the East Harerghe zone and aims at improving food and livelihood security status, nutrition as well as ensure social protection of the drought affected destitute people in the area. the project will respond to the urgent protection needs of the target beneficiaries through provision of supplementary nutritional food, emergency seeds and locally adaptable breed goats and poultry. Provision of supplementary nutritional food has a direct contribution and impact towards lifesaving. In addition provision of emergency seeds as well as provision of locally adaptable breed goats, poultry and seed Money, targeted female headed household will enable them to engage on feasible IGAs, thereby strengthening target beneficiaries capacity in terms of access to basic services and help them to build up household asset and recovery.
