The purpose of this intervention is to address the immediate and critical humanitarian needs of drought-affected and highly vulnerable households in Dongorayo District, Nugaal Region, Puntland State of Somalia. The intervention prioritises populations most at risk, including female-headed households, elderly persons, and marginalised families disproportionately affected by prolonged drought. From March to May 2026, the project will deliver integrated, life-saving assistance through unconditional cash transfers to 200 households, emergency water trucking to 400 households, and hygiene and dignity kits to 400 female-headed households. The intervention aims to mitigate the compounded effects of drought on food security, livelihoods, access to safe water, and hygiene.
