The purpose of this intervention is to address the immediate and critical humanitarian needs of drought-affected and highly vulnerable households in Dongorayo District, Nugaal Region, Puntland State of Somalia. The intervention prioritises populations most at risk, including female-headed households, elderly persons, and marginalised families disproportionately affected by prolonged drought. From March to May 2026, the project will deliver integrated, life-saving assistance through unconditional cash transfers to 200 households, emergency water trucking to 400 households, and hygiene and dignity kits to 400 female-headed households. The intervention aims to mitigate the compounded effects of drought on food security, livelihoods, access to safe water, and hygiene. Cash assistance aligned with the regional Minimum Expenditure Basket (MEB) will provide flexible, dignified support to meet urgent needs, while WASH assistance delivered in line with humanitarian standards will ensure safe an
