Project Objective: Ensure vulnerable individuals and households who are facing food insecurity due to the severe drought in Nyimba district, Eastern Province have access to appropriate nutritional and healthcare sup-port and increased access to safe water sources for both drinking, washing and subsistence farming. The intervention will ensure that vulnerable individuals and households in Nyimba district receive 1) health care through rapid clinical assessments and linkage to health services in their local area if needed; 2) adequate nutritional support and sanitary supplies; 3) Achieve improved food security going beyond the first months where they receive food deliveries through planting of drought resistant crops and improved access to a safe water supply assisting both in the immediate situation and for future safe water provision and food security.
