The intervention seeks to empower youth through a combination of environmental concern, entrepreneurship and civic education. Nine youth groups will learn how to create a green entrepreneurship business project and how to approach local government for support and to advocate for youth rights and an improved environmental agenda. The project builds on a peer-to-peer structure where the youth groups are facilitated by young volunteer facilitators. All the youth (facilitators as well as group members) will become empowered and gain a new sense of belonging to their locality as well as a stronger view of how they can plan more stable, sustainable and positive futures.
