Resume

This intervention aims to be a stepping stone for interventions to assist girls in poor and vulnerable areas with holistic Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Menstrual Health Management (MHM) and safe Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) strategies. Focusing on Kibera, Kenya, the project will study the effectiveness of adapted SRHR/MHM-training with reusable sanitary products in a very poor environment with limited toilets, water and soap. We will establish a voluntary advisory board on climate justice with local and international experts to guide the intervention, ensuring it advances solutions for girls in the intersection of SRHR, MHM and WASH. The board will create a policy paper providing clear guidance for CSOs and government officials on implementing safe WASH strategies with comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services responsive to water scarcity for girls in very vulnerable communities starting with Kibera.
