The intervention will provide urgent humanitarian assistance to 240 flood-affected households (1228 individuals) in Ward No. 5, Devighat area of Bidur Municipality, Nuwakot, Nepal. The flooding has completely swept away 215 houses while 220 houses are destroyed or severely damaged by mud. 956 people are currently sheltered in the local school and in a local ayurvedic center without basic household facilities and eleven people are reported missing while others are sheltered in municipality supported rental rooms in Pipaltar, Gagate and Madanpur and their relatives’ house. The affected population includes elderly, persons with disabilities, children under five, newborn babies and mothers, and people requiring regular medication. Over 4 months, the intervention will support emergency and transitional shelter through unconditional cash grants as well as NFI kits with kitchen ware, sanitation- and dignity materials as well as school materials for the approximately 100 children between 6-14
