AIP Foundation Denmark

Road traffic crashes are a major global public health challenge, causing more than 1.19 million deaths and over 50 million serious injuries each year. AIP Foundation Denmark works to prevent road injuries and fatalities in developing countries, with a focus on poor and vulnerable road users most exposed to unsafe roads. Through rights-based, evidence-informed interventions, we support policy change, safer road-user behavior, stronger institutions, and practical improvements that advance road safety at scale. We have extensive experience in road safety, advocacy, engineering, partnerships, enforcement, data collection, human and labor rights, and monitoring and evaluation. This work contributes directly to the Sustainable Development Goals by supporting safer transport systems and the global commitment to reducing road traffic deaths and injuries.
