IMCC (International Medical Cooperation Committee)
IMCC blev stiftet den 1. oktober 1950 som De Lægevidenskabelige Studenterråds Internationale Fællesudvalg. Stifterne var studerende, som havde deltaget i en dissektionstur til Paris i sommeren, 1950. Dissektionsturen til Paris blev afholdt, fordi efterkrigstidens generelle mangel på materialer gik ud over anatomiundervisningen på universiteterne. Så måtte man søge uden for landets grænser for at kunne opfylde behovet for undervisning til de medicinstuderende. Derfor søsatte de studerende selv et projekt, der kunne sende 30 studerende til Paris, så de kunne blive undervist hen over sommeren. Samtidigt havde efterkrigstidens medicinstuderende stor interesse i at skabe kontakter til andre medicinstuderende fra resten af verden – både fagligt og socialt. For at kunne imødekomme de studerendes behov, valgte man at stifte, De Lægevidenskabelige Studenterråds Internationale Fællesudvalg, som på engelsk blev til International Medical Cooperation, IMCC.
