Overall targets
This intervention wishes to respond to the gendered fall out for the pandemic that are affecting in particular adolescent girls; and help slow down the growing sexual reproductive health crisis in the wake of Covid-19. The intervention has prioritized to protect vulnerable teenage mothers including psychosocial support services to ensure safety during and post Covid-19.
Immediate targets
The immediate objectives of this intervention are to: 1) Protect pregnant adolescent girls from stigma, violence and rejection under the covid-19 crisis and 2) Support the girl’s way back to the communities through re-integration activities, as well as community level advocacy activities.
Target groups
This intervention’s target group consist of 1) 50 pregnant adolescent girls identified by PLK; 2) 200 family members, peers and community members from the girl’s local communities targeted through the community forums. The secondary target group for this intervention is • 14 elders from the communities to support the reintegration of the teenage mothers.

I denne lille indsats ønsker 100% for Børnene i samarbejde med vores lokale partner Positive Life Kenya at beskytte udvalgte teenage piger som er blevet gravide under den nuværende corona pandemi, bl.a. grundet nedlukning af skoler, bevægelsesrestriktioner og manglende adgang til viden om seksuel og reproduktiv sundhed. De fleste piger der blive gravide i deres teenageår vender aldrig tilbage til uddannelse og fastholdes i fattigdom. Derudover er pigerne i risiko for at blive stigmatiseret, udsat for vold og ekskluderet fra deres familie og lokalsamfund. I projektet beskyttes pigerne mod de førnævnte risisci ved at tilbyde dem ophold på et krisecenter, hvor de vil modtage uddannelse, pleje og omsorg. Vores partner vil sammen med de gravide teenage piger arbejde for oplysning og re-integration i lokalsamfundene gennem community forums og lokalt fortalerarbejde for seksuel og reproduktiv sundhed og rettigheder for unge kvinder.
