Resume

The purpose of the intervention is to improve attendance and academic performance, and through this the future prospects, of girls in target communities, by tackling key obstacles to Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM). The intervention will be implemented in rural areas of Uganda & Pakistan. The intervention seeks to enhance girls’ knowledge and skills to manage their menstruation with safety and dignity both at home and in school. Secondly, it is addressing the underlying causes contributing to the stigma about menstruation by engaging communities in awareness-raising activities and educational workshops on MHM. And lastly, in collaboration with community leaders and local CSO, the intervention will advocate for policy changes to promote MHM funding framework in the target districts. With this multi-faceted approach, we are hoping to create lasting change and contribute to fostering menstruation equity, increased social support and a sustainable approach to MHM in the target districts
