Resume

This intervention seeks to equip the youths of 16 communities in Atwima Nwabiagya North District (ANND) with knowledge and skills needed for appropriate public participation in development issues, and engagement in the governance and democratic processes of their communities, and ANND in general. Majority of the youth in Ghana, including ANND, do not understand the roles they are supposed to play, as well as the rights they have in the democratic, governance and development processes of their local communities and the district. This intervention has been developed to mobilise and build the capacity of the youth in 16 communities of ANND, in public participation and engagement. The intervention will use sports (football) as a tool to mobilise the youth and, also, build their capacity through workshops and stakeholders’ forum. There will be 494 participants involved in the intervention, of which 480 are primary participants.
