This project aims to reduce early and unintended pregnancies among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in Lilongwe City by improving access to and prioritisation of adolescent-friendly Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services at ward level. Currently, limited access to contraceptives and accurate SRHR information—especially in informal settlements—drives persistently high teenage pregnancy rates. The project responds by empowering AGYW to engage municipal decision-makers and influence the planning, resourcing, and oversight of ward-level SRH services. It will be implemented by the Danish Minorities’ Centre for Human Rights and Development (DMC-HRD) in collaboration with OSSEDI Malawi, a locally registered NGO, in Lilongwe district. The initiative supports SDGs 3, 5, and 17.
