The programme "Empowering Voices - Advancing Rights: Towards an LGBTIQ+ Inclusive Society in Kenya" is a partnership between Pema Kenya and LGBT+ Denmark. It focuses on strengthening the LGBTIQ+ movement in Kenya by enhancing leadership, advocacy, and resilience among LGBTIQ+ individuals and organizations. The programme prioritizes three key areas: community empowerment, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy for inclusive healthcare systems. It will build the capacity of civil society actors through leadership training, strategic convenings, and community-led initiatives. By fostering allyship among key stakeholders—such as healthcare providers, law enforcement, and faith leaders—the programme seeks to improve safety, social inclusion, and healthcare access for LGBTIQ+ individuals.
