Resume

The Young Peace Ambassadors project's second phase is a 10-month initiative in 3 districts of Northern Ghana, enhancing peacebuilding and democratic rights through youth sensitization and capacity building. It aims to empower youth as advocates for peace in conflict-prone areas leading up to the December 2024 elections. The project will mobilize young people from diverse backgrounds for workshops, training, and interactive activities, equipping them with skills to act as peace ambassadors. Developed in consultation with stakeholders including the National Peace Council and local leaders, the intervention builds on previous initiatives and adopts a localized approach recommended by the West African Civil Society Institute. Its focus is on youth empowerment in the electoral context.
