Resume

The project supports 180 vulnerable households in Barow Diinle village, Baardheere municipality through an integrated package of assistance. Each household receives two 200L plastic barrels and a 6m pipeline for water storage and access. To enhance irrigation capacity, 90 households benefit from rehabilitation of water pumps (cleaning, two gaskets, and oil). 25 households receive USD 176 in e-cash to meet urgent needs. For agricultural recovery, the project provides ploughing, harrowing, and sowing services across 90 ha, and distributes 270 bags of vegetable, maize, and sorghum seeds to 90 farmers. This combined intervention strengthens both immediate survival and medium-term food security, while promoting community resilience. Start-up actions include community consultations, supplier verification, inclusive beneficiary selection, and protection measures for vulnerable groups. Implementation begins within 7 days of the first CISU/DERF transfer, ensuring rapid, accountable deliver.
