The overall objective of the project is to empower young female artists in urban Bulawayo to address social injustice issues faced by young women. This is done through artivism - merging art and activism. The project is a partnership between Dreamtown and Yellow World - a cool and innovative local organization led by, and working for, young people, through creative methods.The intervention will strengthen the capacity of Yellow World through mentoring, digital literacy, and project planning and design skills. Yellow World, with support from their network of local media actors, will take the lead in empowering young women in six communities, through a music bootcamp and a film school; creating awareness through a social media campaign and a music and film festival airing songs and films produced by young women; and creating awareness among local authorities.
