Resume

This project aims to improve the wellbeing of young people in urban Sierra Leone by increasing their participation in shaping society and improve their access to safe and inclusive public space. The project includes local context-based research on youth wellbeing and collection of young people’s dreams and visions for the city. On this basis, 15 public spaces will be developed in 15 target communities, targeting a total of 1500 youth in fragile urban areas, with participation of local youth led CBOs, who will receive capacity building in key project management areas and creative youth advocacy. The youth target group will be included through all phases of the project, and Youth Dream Centre and Dreamtown will expand their network and become stronger advocators for youth wellbeing.
