Resume

The project aims to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmer families in Kayonza Subcounty in Ntungamo District by enhancing their agricultural productivity and access to markets and financial services, and to increase their awareness and promotion of human rights and social justice. To achieve these goals, the project will undertake several key activities, including training and support on climate-resilient agriculture practices, establishment of farmer field schools and demonstration plots, formation of savings and loans groups, and engagement in advocacy efforts on rights issues. These activities and others in the project are expected to lead to significant and lasting changes in the lives of the smallholder farmers – particularly women and youth – as they will be empowered to take control of their livelihoods, promote their rights, and improve their overall well-being.
