Resume

The ambition of OTC is to make technical education available for all youth living with disability in Kenema district. However, being able to access the offer of education made by OTC is connected with sever challenge with respect to housing of the often very poor and marginalized youth – coming from poor and rural families. In order to secure access to education - not only at OTC but also in other educational institutions in Kenema - OTC has initiated advocacy for accessibility for subsidized student housing targeting the youth living with disability. Therefore, the aim of this intervention is to deliver an advocacy tool for OTC to engage authorities and relevant stakeholders in the future activities and hopefully the establishment of a student housing facility for youth living with disability. This intervention will assist OTC to assess needs, relevant stakeholders, potential partners, and to draw a roadmap for the establishing of a sustainable and affordable offer of student housing.
