Resume

RAMCUP Phase II aims to improve menstrual hygiene management (MHM) for girls and women in Northern Ghana by increasing access to menstrual cups and reusable pads. It tackles stigma, limited product choices, and poor sanitation, aligning with the government’s free pad initiative. REEP Ambassadors and local leaders will run inclusive education campaigns with men, religious leaders, and influencers to break taboos. Partnering with Tasha Sanitaries, the project supports local pad production, creating livelihoods and ensuring access. WATCH Committees will promote accountability in the free pad rollout. The project also advocates for gender-sensitive refurbishment of school and public changing rooms to address WASH gaps. RAMCUP supports SDGs 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 12 by linking menstrual health to gender equality, education, and sustainability. It aligns with Ghana’s 100% menstrual health strategy, promoting education, dignity, and lasting systemic change.
