Overall targets

To empower small scale farmers in Sanjaranda Ward to do advocacy through mobilization, organisation and training

Immediate targets

• To organize 210 small scale farmers by beginning 2012 through sensitizing, mobilizing and training • To establish agricultural development opportunities for farmers through training in advocacy for access to microloans, new agricultural methods, among others • To create a future development agenda formed through the processes taking place in the farmers' groups

Target groups

Primary: 210 small scale farmers and livestock keepers consisting of 50% men and 50% women. Secondary: 3,500 small scale farmers and livestock keepers from Sanjaranda Ward who will be inspired by the change and progress in the primary target group

Resume

Projektet vil styrke 210 husmandsbønder i tre landsbyer i Sanjaranda kommune, Tanzania til en bedre levestandard. Dette vil ske gennem en organisering af bønderne, så de samlet står stærkere, træning i diverse landbrugsmetoder, at lære bønderne hvad det vil sige at udføre fortalervirksomhed og dermed skaffe adgang til mikrolån samt andre muligheder, som bliver identificeret under projektperioden. Endelig vil en dagsorden for landbrugsudviklingen i området blive udarbejdet på baggrund af de processer der finder sted i løbet af projektet.
