Resume

The project will strengthen meaningful youth participation in local climate governance in Pokhara Metropolitan City (PMC) and Ratnanagar Municipality (RM) in Nepal. 30 Youth Climate Ambassadors (YCAs) will gain knowledge, leadership and advocacy skills to engage peers and communities, identify local climate and biodiversity priorities, and present concrete action points to local governments. The project will contribute to local governments integrating youth-led climate and nature initiatives into their annual plans and budgets, creating opportunities for young people to influence decisions affecting their communities. DIB, CHILDREN-Nepal (CN) and Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN) will also strengthen their joint capacity to support meaningful youth participation and develop a practical model for youth-led climate and nature action that can be used beyond the project.
