This intervention by Dreamtown and Public Space Network aims to enhance adaptive capacities and resilience of communities in climate-vulnerable informal settlements along the Nairobi rivers. This is done through youth-led interventions, with outcomes focused on developing capacities for climate change assessment, implementing climate-resilient solutions through green spaces and green livelihoods, and building collective advocacy towards mainstreaming local adaptation into government plans. The intervention targets a broad network of youth groups and community members along the Nairobi rivers, who champion the mission of a healthier and more resilient urban environment. With technical support from UN-Habitat and Roskilde University, the intervention will also deliver evidence-based best practises and share learning on national and global platforms for urban development.
