Resume

This project will serve the purpose of setting-up the Women’s Public Participation Forums (WPPF) in both Victoria Falls City and Hwange Rural District of Zimbabwe as platforms for women’s involvement in public participation and as spaces for women to influence decisions of local government authorities around service delivery. The background of this project is that women as care givers are the most affected by poor service delivery. To enable women effectively engage in public participation, this project shall empower a core group of 80 women with knowledge and skills on how to effectively engage in public participation and influence decisions around service delivery, and also enable the empowered women to demonstrate the knowledge and skills gained by facilitating them to plan and hold a consultative dialogue forum on service delivery comprising duty bearers and CSO representatives
