Resume

The Resilient Roots of Change (R2C) project is a two-year initiative to enhance climate resilience among vulnerable groups in Ghana’s Northern Region, including women, youth, visible minorities like the Fulanis and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Operating in 10 communities in Tolon and Savelugu Districts, the project expects the delivery of three outcomes: 1. That the target group has increased its knowledge and capacity on climate-smart agriculture; 2. that youth and other relevant beneficiaries are empowered to become advocates for climate action and civic engagement in their communities; and 3. that GYG has strengthened its role and legitimacy to lead youth-centred climate initiatives in cooperation with DIB. Building on the successes of the SGY-CSA project, this intervention envisages a participatory approach to sustainable development to strengthen civil society at the local level and to empower vulnerable and marginalized groups to practice CSA and advocate for climate action.
