Resume

This intervention aims to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to internally displaced populations, mainly women, children, and the elderly, affected by armed conflict. It consists of distributing food and essential non-food items to meet the immediate survival and protection needs of the most vulnerable households. The action will be implemented in the territories of Uvira and Fizi, as well as their surrounding areas, in the province of South Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo. The intervention will begin in early February 2026 and will last for six months in order to respond quickly to the ongoing humanitarian crisis. The expected change is an immediate improvement in living conditions, a reduction in food insecurity, and a minimal restoration of dignity for displaced persons living in situations of extreme vulnerability.
